They had 5 different appetizers - idli, upma, vada, mirchi bhaji and puri chole. The ambiance was not pleasing, but the food was palate pleasing. So, when we arrived I wasn’t expecting much as the location didn’t look very good. We got hungry fast so we decided to hit Priyaa Restaurant which was a little further away then we wanted. So we had a light breakfast at Starbucks and then proceeded to see the Cathedral Basilica of St Louis. Serra's is worth a try, but if you aren't in the mood to wait, you might want to go during the week.įinding breakfast without sugar in US is extremely hard. The pasta was simple but my daughter said it was great. ![]() It was big rice ball vs several small ones. The pizza was delicious, I enjoyed the salad and the arancini was also good, albeit a little different than I expected. FYI the pizza is St Louis style with Provel cheese and square cut. Sounds strange, but I love canned mushrooms! It took every bit of that quoted hour to get the pizza, but it was so good, it was worth the wait. The bonus was that the mushrooms canned, not fresh. No green peppers here, so I thought I would give it a try. I don't normally order a supreme pizza as most have green peppers and I'm not a big fan. It had sausage, pepperoni, bacon, onion and mushroom. As for pizza we ordered the Serra's Pizza Supreme. We got a house salad, the arancini and Manicotti to help us make it past that hour wait for the pizza. We didn't have any pressing affairs, so we chose to wait it out. It would be a shame if this place lost customers due to poor service, it I believe if they solve the staffing and service/training of staff issues, they could make it. You’re only as good as your service, which is what customers look for first, as high of a priority as the food and drinks. My suggestion would be the aforementioned limited seating. They need to stay on that kitchen, though. ![]() The GM did the right thing in handling our lack of service, and we might give it another try once they hire more staff. Our poor waitress was young and inexperienced, but she probably did the best she could. He did comp us the meals and drinks we did get, and I know it’s hard being short staffed like everywhere else, but they should limit seating to those they can accommodate without overwhelming the kitchen staff. They will open in September 2023 as well and will offer retail and wholesale.Nice atmosphere, good Manhattans downstairs, but when our large party got our food 2 hours later, and 3 of us didn’t get any of our orders, we asked the manager for help.
